Terms of use
What Carefolio helps with, what you need to review, and how this early-access edition works.
1. The service and this edition
Carefolio provides record organization, document recognition, user-confirmed medication-plan records, controlled family collaboration, and appointment briefs. This is a local early-access edition, provided for evaluation. Features may change while the product is being developed.
Operator: Pending before public launch
Privacy contact: support@mykinrecord.com
2. Accounts and authorization
You must be an adult to create an account and provide accurate account information. Keep your password and session secure. Upload and share only information you are permitted to manage. Obtain the patient’s permission or ensure that you have another valid basis before managing their health records.
Administrators are responsible for selecting appropriate family permissions and sharing secret invitation links through a trusted channel with the intended person. Email ownership is not verified in this edition. Before a public beta handles another person’s live health records, email verification needs to be enabled. Do not use someone else’s account or access profiles without authorization.
3. Medical information and limitations
Carefolio is not a clinician or emergency service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend treatment, check drug interactions, or identify a loose pill from its appearance. It must not replace professional advice, the original prescription, or an independent reminder system.
Extraction, OCR, and summaries may contain errors or omissions. Confirm key information against its source. Medication schedules must come from your existing instructions and be reviewed by you. A status of “not yet recorded” does not mean a dose was missed.
If you need urgent care, contact your local emergency service. Do not wait for a notification or a response from this application.
4. Reminders and availability
Browser reminders require your permission and an open, running website. Browser settings, device power management, network failures, and timezone choices may affect delivery. This edition does not provide reliable offline or background notifications, SMS, or email reminders.
The local server must remain running for the website to function. Early access has no uptime commitment, emergency support, or guaranteed recovery service. Maintain your originals and an independent reminder for time-critical medication.
5. Acceptable use
Do not upload malicious files, misuse health information, impersonate people, interfere with the service, or bypass access controls. Do not use the service to provide medical decisions to others as if the application were a licensed professional. Respect intellectual-property and privacy rights in uploaded materials.
6. Your content and service permissions
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You authorize the application to store, process, extract, display, and share that information only as needed for the service and the permissions you choose. This permission does not transfer ownership of your health records.
Source files and extracted text may be included in exports or shared profiles. Once you print, download, or share a copy outside the app, you are responsible for its handling.
7. Pricing and future subscriptions
The current local edition is free, collects no payment details, and does not charge subscriptions. The displayed $7.99 monthly and $79 annual family prices are proposals for a future service, not active paid plans.
Before paid plans become available, the operator must provide actual limits, billing terms, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and payment-provider details. No payment or automatic renewal is authorized by creating an account in this edition.
8. Privacy and deletion
The privacy policy explains the data processed by this local edition. You can review permissions, export owned data, delete files, and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes owned profiles and revokes your access to profiles belonging to other people.
9. Evaluation risks and responsibility
You are responsible for checking records before relying on them and for your decisions about sharing and using information. Early-access software may contain defects. Keep the original documents and evaluate the service with information you are authorized to use.
Nothing in this draft removes consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Production warranties, remedies, liability terms, and dispute procedures require review for the chosen launch region.
10. Changes, region, and contact
The legal operator, launch regions, governing law, and contact channel remain pending configuration. No jurisdiction or contractual dispute venue is invented in this local draft. Material changes require clear notice.
